The federal agency selected the most promising locations for vertiports in the county and recently presented the results to the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority. It selected two general spots as the best: Tampa’s Downtown and Westshore.
Tampa’s latest affordable housing project, the Boulevards at West River, opens 371 family units this week. When completed, the complex will offer more than 500 units of family housing.
Leroy Moore, Senior Vice President of the Tampa Housing Authority and Partnership board member, said the complex is conveniently located within walking distance of the city’s downtown.

The Battery, located at 615 Channelside Dr., soft opened on Sept. 16 and has been serving menu items like a Berkshire chop, charcuterie boards and fine bourbon ever since.
The 4,000-square-foot stand-alone location (nope, not a shipping container like other Wharf concepts) comes with a private dining room and outdoor seating. The space also boasts garage doors that open up to a view of Sparkman Wharf.
