In a swift response to storm damage, Tampa’s Downtown Clean Team removed an estimated 400 cubic yards of debris off the street last week to help ensure our District was ready to open for business.

The Tampa Downtown Partnership supports the upcoming Hillsborough referendum on countywide transportation improvements. This weekend, the Tampa Bay Times editorial board also recommended voting yes on the referendum.
“Hillsborough’s road, bus and pedestrian network has been in poor shape for decades, and for nearly as long, political and civic leaders have tried to craft a balanced solution that serves the cities and suburbs alike. That’s where this referendum delivers.”

Port Tampa Bay resumed normal operations last Friday after shutting down for Hurricane Ian. Port Tampa Bay supplies Florida with almost half of its fuel.
“Few people understand the full impact a seaport has on their daily lives until a crisis hits,” Port Tampa Bay CEO Paul Anderson said in a statement. “We are proud to help our community and region get back on its feet following Hurricane Ian and welcome back the fuel and cargo ships that are the lifeblood of our local economy.”
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (FDEO) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management have activated a Business Damage Assessment Survey to learn more about how Hurricane Ian is impacting local Florida businesses. If you have been impacted, please take the survey as it will help state officials understand the recovery resources needed for those communities.

Rock the Park Tampa is typically held at Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on the first Thursday of each month, but will be moved to Water Works Park this month. For 12 years, the Tampa Downtown Partnership has produced a free monthly music series showcasing musical talents of all genres.
