Maiden (2019)

7:30pm to 9:15pm

This new documentary has all the elements of an epic adventure tale: 50-foot waves, life and death drama, near-mutiny, and thrilling victory, all grounded in a perceptive group portrait of a team of courageous young women pioneering in the sport of long-distance racing and inspiring women in all fields to prove themselves the equal of men. Maiden (2019)

Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (1979)

10:30pm to Midnight
Tampa Theatre

This film is a slanted take on your typical teen comedy, built around two major distinguishing factors: the soundtrack, full of early-ish punk rock and led by the frankly fake-looking presence of the Ramones acting in the actual movie, and the climactic set piece in which a real high school explodes. Settle in for a classic! Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (1979)

The unique music experience, which has become popular at major music festivals such as Bonnaroo and Coachella, requires dancers to wear wireless headphones that pick up the music instead of a speaker system. The surreal musical experience allows attendees to choose from three DJ stations at the switch of a button. Listeners will only hear the music being played on their selected station for a personalized experience. Silent Disco 2019

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
3pm to 5:30pm

Part of Shawshank Redemption’s lasting appeal comes down to its capacity to defy expectations – it’s a dark and grueling portrait of human cruelty, and a feel-good buddy picture where the good guys win, all at the same time. Immediately after the screening, retired Tampa Tribune film critic Bob Ross will lead a short discussion and audience Q&A. The session is included with film admission. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
