Sunny Jain is a one-man fusion factory. The Indian-American composer-musician is rooted in the sounds of Southern Asia, which he mixes and merges with jazz, hip-hop and other sounds from Jain’s ever-expanding musical universe. His band Red Baraat was a frenetic explosion of bhangra, rock and hip-hop. Jain’s latest release, Wild Wild East, is a globe-trotting journey through a world of cultures and musical styles.
