World Premiere Staging of Blood Guilt: Orestes On Trial

The University of Tampa
A modern version of the Oresteia trilogy of Aeschylus. This monumental work of the first Athenian playwright tells the story of the cursed House of Atreus, where the sins of the family’s ancestors are visited upon four succeeding generations. The M.E. Tour featuring Marsha Ambrosius and Eric Benét

Lawyer for the Arts: Public Lecture, Defending Hope

William W. “Terry” Fisher III, Wilmer Hale Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Harvard Law School, will discuss his role in litigation between artist Shepard Fairey and the Associated Press surrounding Fairey’s appropriation of an AP-owned image to create the iconic “Hope” Poster in support of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Great American Clean Up

Throughout Tampa Bay
Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is hosting the annual Great American Cleanup to keep our community green, clean, and beautiful. Last year, volunteers removed 124,868 lbs. of trash, planted 710 trees and plants, removed 10 tons of invasive plants and beautified 102 miles of shoreline. Great American Clean Up.

Best Buddies Friendship Walk

This is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The walk plays a key role in funding Best Buddies programs dedicated to one-to-one friendships, leadership development, and integrated job opportunities for individuals.
