Wait For Your Laugh (2018)
7:30pm to 9:30pm
Tampa Theatre
This film documents Rose Marie, who had the longest show business career ever. 94 years old at the time of the film’s production, she was a headlining singer in major theaters by the age of three. But telling a story of this scale makes for more than just a bio-pic. The film presents a cross-section of the last century of popular entertainment, moving from the bedrock of Vaudeville and stage performance through the strata of early radio comedy, the rise of Las Vegas, and the eventual birth of the television sitcom. Wait For Your Laugh (2018)
