Superman (1978) Begins 3pm Tampa Theatre A child found and adopted by a farm family in Kansas grows to find that he has super powers. He takes on the identity of Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet in bustling Metropolis and spends his days saving lives and fighting the evil forces of criminal genius Lex Luthor as Superman. In memory of Margot Kidder’s recent passing, and to celebrate the life and career of the late Christopher Reeve and the 40th anniversary of the release of the film, Tampa Theatre is proud to present the original 1978 Superman as a free community screening.
