A pioneer for women in her career, a powerful voice for fairness in the workplace and in society as a whole, and a hero who, at the age of 85, has had a book published about her hardcore workout routine, RBG tells the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s rise to tremendous influence and leadership while also transforming herself into an unexpected pop culture icon. The Sound of Music

The hills are alive! The brand new production of the classic musical is returning to Tampa. The beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with its award-winning score, including all of your favorite hits. The film version continues to be the most successful movie musical in history, and this stage production brings all the same energy and passion! The Sound of Music

Charles Condomine, a mediocre novelist, summons a medium to his hime to study “the techniques” of spiritualists for his new book. Along with Ruth, his second wife, and Dr. and Mrs. Bradman, close friends, he participates in a seance conducted by Madame Arcati, who supplies Charles with more than he bargained for. She produces a “protoplasmic manifestation” in the form of Elvira, Charles’s deceased first wife whom only he (and the audience) can see and hear. With farce and wit unleashed, playwright Noel Coward presents some of his best comic characters in a situation full of spirits and satire. Blithe Spirit

Explore different habitats and learn why they’re important to us and the ocean through special activities and programs. Find out what The Florida Aquarium is doing to help protect the ocean and the life in it, as well as easy ways you can help, too! Enjoy ocean-themed activities throughout the Aquarium and special presentations each day. The world’s oceans cover about 70% of the Earth’s surface and are facing threats including pollution, habitat damage, overfishing, coral reef bleaching and species loss. The Florida Aquarium plays a critical role in research, education, and action to address these threats. World Oceans Day Celebration

Brews & Bites

A rolling celebration of food and fun featuring a fleet of area food trucks, craft beers at the Sail’s Beer Garden, and live entertainment from local musicians at the venue’s unique 360-degree waterfront bar. Brews & Bites

Ben Tankard is a former professional basketball player and an American gospel, jazz keyboardist and producer, bestselling author, recording artist, and songwriter with over 300 songs recorded. Tankard has earned 15 Stellar Awards (the highest of any musician), 15 gold records, and six platinum records in his career to date. He was recently inducted into the Stellar Awards Hall of Fame. The Blind Side (2009)

The story of Michael Oher, a talented offensive lineman headed for greatness in football, despite severely unstable living situations. He finds himself out on the street until a family takes him in and helps him get into college and become the NFL star he’s destined to be. Following the screening, special guest Quinton “Big Mike” Aaron will answer audience questions and pose for photos. On Thursday, June 14, Tampa Theatre will be one of only a handful of theatres in the country to open the new documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor? And in the spirit of Mr. Rogers’ enduring message, the historic movie palace and the Tampa Downtown Partnership will host a Franklin Street Block Party from 5:00 to 7:00pm before the 7:30pm screening of the film. Franklin Street Block Party
