Tapas with a Twist: A Cooking Party

This event will be lead by chef/owners John Lewis and Debbie McGiffin, co-owners of Palate CulinaryServices and co-authors of the cookbook, It’s All About the Food. The chefs have taught thousands of people how to cook and have fun in the kitchen for the past 20 years. 11th Annual Sustainable Buzz

This grand celebration of sustainable living will feature food from dozens of local restaurants, craft beers, fine wines and spirits, and live entertainment. Iron & Wine will take to the historic Tampa Theatre stage with special guest OHMME. Iron & Wine is the musical project of singer-songwriter Sam Beam. Latin Nights

Maestro’s Restaurant transforms into a Latin supper club, featuring a live salsa band, dancing, tapas and drink specials. A new menu features delicious tapas, and patrons can dance the night away to the thrilling Latin rhythms of Son Salvaje. In the end, it is a story of how important a woman’s voice can be, even in the darkest of times. A brave and blisteringly funny new work about feminism, legacy and standing up for one’s beliefs. Light The Night

Diavolo Dance Theatre: Architecture in Motion®

Gizmo’s Birthday Bash

Gizmo is turning 9 years old and he’s ready to party with his doggie and human friends. The party will raise donations for the Vets4Pets Charitable Veterinary Clinic to assist pets whose owners cannot afford proper care. The event is open to all dogs and their owners, and will include cake and doggie ice cream as well as music, pet-friendly vendors, raffles, a photo booth, and a whole lot of fun! Step back in time and enjoy the single-character performances that bring turn-of-the-century Tampa Bay Hotel staff members and guests to life. With a menu of percussive and sonic effects, and larger than life sounding instruments, her solo shows embody layers of orchestral elements with a wide array of dynamics and harmonic textures.
