Jaylyn is currently a full-time student at the University of South Florida, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration. She is also a member of the Student Planning Organization, Florida PIRG Campus Action, HerCampus, and CHAARG – all at USF.
Jaylyn is originally from Leesburg, Florida and spent many years working and volunteering alongside her hometown’s partnership. In conjunction with her love of non-profit work, advocacy, and education, Jaylyn hopes to build everlasting connections among members of the Tampa community and to make a difference in further improving the beauty of Downtown Tampa.
Although I have not lived in the city for long, my favorite thing to do is to see the Tampa skyline, whether that be from Julian B. Lane Park or while walking on the Riverwalk. Coming from a small town where tall, beautiful buildings were nonexistent, seeing the beautiful architecture of the city makes me extremely grateful to be able to work in Downtown Tampa.
