Director of Public Space Operations & Programming

Rachel Radawec serves as the Senior Manager of Public Space and Community Engagement for the Tampa Downtown Partnership. In her role, Radawec uses principles of marketing, design, and activation to establish public-private collaboration in public spaces. Her passion for community engagement and public spaces fuels her day-to-day work in fostering vibrant, diverse neighborhoods within Tampa’s Downtown core, while engaging those surrounding it.

Rachel has been with the Tampa Downtown Partnership since 2013 when she was originally hired as the Executive Administrative Assistant. During her four year tenure, Rachel supported all department projects through meeting facilitation, partner and vendor coordination, event registration, database administration, and marketing assistance including digital marketing and graphic design. Prior to joining the Partnership, she worked for Barbizon as the Director of Education where she trained, managed and supported staff while ensuring adherence to curriculum.
Rachel graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Art in Political Science. She also has a Masters of Fine Art with a concentration in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Extremely dedicated to the Downtown community, Rachel is an active member of the AIA Design Week Steering Committee, Friends of Union Station Board of Directors, Grow Group Board of Directors, Hillsborough County Historical Advisory Council, Tampa Bay Foundation for Architecture and Design Board of Directors, Tampa Theatre WineFest Committee, and Downtown YMCA Board of Directors. She is a regular volunteer with the MacDonald Training Center, and Where Love Grows. In 2016, she was awarded the AIA Tampa Bay Award of Excellence for her involvement with Tampa Bay Design Week.
