This film follows a Hasidic grocery store clerk trying to maintain custody of his son Rieven after his wife, Lea, passes away. Rieven is supposed to be adopted by the boy’s strict, married uncle, but Menashe’s Rabbi decides to grant him one week to spend with Rieven prior to Lea’s memorial. Their time together creates an emotional moment of father-son bonding, and offers Menashe a final chance to prove to his skeptical community that he can be a capable parent. Menashe (2017)

The long-awaited, direct sequel to the 1986 cult horror classic, Truth or Dare? A Critical Madness. Disfigured internet madman “Chainsaw Dax” vows revenge on Dan Hess, the man responsible for letting the original “Coppermask Killer”, Mike Strauber, escape nearly 30 years ago. Following the film, producer and director Scott Tepperman will lead a panel discussion with cast and crew of the film, which was partially shot in and around the Tampa Bay area. I Dared You! Metropolis (1927)

In 2010, Tampa Theatre was one of a few theatres in the world to present the complete restoration of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis. The theatre is once again presenting Metropolis as close as possible to how it would have been experienced upon its release in 1927, and Dr. Stephen Ball will score the movie on the original, historic Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ.
