Opera aficionados and neophytes alike will enjoy a behind-the-scenes peek into a rehearsal with Maestro Daniel Lipton, observing the director and artists working on scenes from the upcoming opera production.

A tale of technology, disconnection and the meaning of home, this film features Slumdog Millionaire star, Dev Patel, as Saroo, a young man once lost on a train in Calcutta and eventually adopted by a family in Australia. Though it’s been 20 years and his adopted family loves him, he has never fully come to terms with the loss of his birth family. Lacking that essential closure, he puts his adult life on the line to find his first home, armed with just a handful of recollections and the revolutionary technology of Google Earth.

Colson Whitehead is a #1 New York Times bestselling author. Whitehead’s reviews, essays, and fiction have appeared in a number of publications. He has received numerous prestigious awards, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

In honor of the College Football National Championship game, Buick is allowing complimentary rides to and from anywhere within the area. Prime hub for pickup is the Tampa Bay Convention Center, and fans can be brought anywhere, including to Raymond James Stadium for a free ride to the big game!

College Football Playoff National Championship – Playoff Fan Central

This family-friendly event gives thousands of fans the opportunity to be a part of the College Football Playoff National Championship experience. The fan festival features appearances from the participating institutions’ bands, cheerleaders, and mascots, as well as mini pep rallies for each participating team.Art on the House

Pay-as-you-will admission to the Museum through a partnership with GTE Financial.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will come alive with some of the nation’s top recording artists at AT&T Playoff Playlist LIVE! University of Tampa – Falk Theatre
David Finkel is a journalist and author whose most recent book, Thank You For Your Service, chronicles the challenges faced by American soldiers and their families in the aftermath of war. His previous book, The Good Soldiers, was the bestselling, critically acclaimed account of the U.S. “surge” during the Iraq War. An editor and writer for The Washington Post, Finkel has reported from all over the world.

College Football Playoff National Championship – Media Day

The day will feature both teams and coaching staffs participating in the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship. Attendees will watch their favorite players, listen to interviews, and experience more than 1,000 media members previewing the National Championship Game.UT Swimming Relay Meet

Kahwa Coffee at Element
A free bike tour of the Tampa area. This month’s theme is politics! Tampa has had its share of odd political deals. Corrupt politicians? Yep. Immigration issues? We have a whole area of town dedicated to that. Electrion rigging? The national guard had to step in and stop our problems. Come ride with us and learn more about on our first ride of 2017!

College Football Playoff National Championship – Extra Yard 5k

Participate in a 5k or 1-mile family fun run through Downtown Tampa on the eve of the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship. All proceeds will benefit the College Football Playoff Foundation’s primary initiative, Extra Yard for Teachers, which goes the “extra yard” by inspiring and empowering quality teachers.
