Daniel Girón LIVE in Concert Begins 8pm Straz Center for the Performing Arts Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, classically-trained musician Daniel Girón brings a solid foundation as a soulful guitarist. His music has evolved to become a confluence of Spanish flamenco guitar with jazz and Latin rhythms. In this concert, the modern sound of his Spanish guitar will join the sounds of outstanding keyboards, flute, bass, and Latin percussion performers. The Decline of Western Civilization (1981) 10:30pm to 12:15am Tampa Theatre This culturally significant documentary details the punk rock scene of Los Angeles. This raw and open look at the burgeoning LA scene of the time features live performance footage and interviews with Black Flag, the Germs, X, the Circle Jerks and Fear, among others. 7th Annual Chick-fil-A Fall Stampede Begins 8am Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park This event benefiting the Children’s Cancer Center includes a 5K run, 1 mile family fun run/walk, a mascot race, photo opportunities with the Chick-fil-A cows, and a post-race party in the Family Fun Zone including Chick-fil-A food, games, and great prizes.
